Tai Chi

Kathy will introduce you to the beautiful ancient martial art of Tai Chi.  With regular practice it can help to regulate blood pressure, improve posture, co-ordination and balance, relieve stress and tension, ease aches and pains in the joints, and improves flexibility in joints.

The Tai Chi session includes:

 

·        Gentle warm up

·        Chi Kung

·        Tai Chi form

·        Cool down

 

Rambling

There will be a Ramble hosted by Fiona.  This will get your muscles moving and your heartbeat going at a steady beat; it should not prove to be too strenuous. 

 

Relaxation

Angela will cover the following topics during this workshop:

 

·        Breathing techniques to cleanse, calm and energise

·        Gentle body work – exercise/movement therapy including Yoga stretching and Pilate moves

·        Visualisation and affirmations – how to feel good about yourself and others

·        Meditation and touch therapy

·        Aromatherapy – blending of essential oils

 

Reflexology

 Reflexology is a form of acupressure using a finger and thumb technique to stimulate healing via the reflex points on the feet.  Topics to be covered include:

·         Benefits of Reflexology

·        Zone theory
