Explore - Discover - Enjoy

The Sperrins Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty has a rich collection of archaeological sites and a strong cultural heritage, tales of myths and legends, charms, cures and superstitions.

This fully guided bus tour of the North Sperrins Heritage Trail will introduce you to some of the highlights of our diverse heritage. The trail features a number of significant archaeological sites and places of historic interest from the Neolithic, early Christian and the Plantation of Ulster periods; there is something to capture everyone’s imagination.

The day is very relaxed and allows visitors the chance to stop and enjoy the wonderful scenery and experience the fascinating range of heritage sites within the dramatic North Sperrins landscape.

Fiona has worked in countryside access, recreation and activity tourism for a number of years. She has been responsible for the development and promotion of the North Sperrins Heritage Trail. She is an enthusiastic local walking guide with an interest in local culture and heritage.

Please note that whilst this is a minibus led excursion, access to many of the sites will require an amount of walking across countryside with no formal paths.  Suitable footwear and outdoor clothing for changeable weather is strongly recommended.

The heritage sites visited during this excursion have been made accessible through the co-operation and kind permission of the landowners.
