This practical course will provide beginners with an invaluable introduction to the basic techniques, and for those with some experience of jewellery making, the course will have much to interest and inspire them. The teaching style is flexible to accommodate all abilities, with regular teacher demonstrations to provide step by step instruction.

 

Students will leave the course with several unique pieces of silver jewellery of which they can be justly proud, and hopefully with the determination and means to pursue this fascinating craft further.

 

Techniques covered will include:

 

·        Silver soldering and fusing

·        Cutting, bending and forging skills

·        Applying texture by rolling and etching

·        Stone setting and finishing skills

 

Steve has been developing new ways of making the craft of jewellery making accessible to his students of all ages and abilities for more than twenty five years.

 

An additional cost of £10 – £20, depending on the choice of projects, will be required for materials.
